Canadian rail jobs could come to Muncie with Progress Rail

MUNCIE -- Will Progress Rail Services' announced Muncie facility draw contracts -- and jobs -- away from the company's plant in Canada?

That's what railroad industry observers are wondering, and it's one of the central questions in a new article in a rail magazine.

"There's a lot of conjecture" in the railroad industry about what the Alabama-based company will do at its Muncie plant, said Andy Cummings, associate editor of Trains magazine. "But at this point, that's all we've been able to get: conjecture."
