INDIANAPOLIS - A unique one-year budget is on its way to the Indiana Senate after hours of testy debate and a party-line vote Friday in the Indiana House.

The budget spends at least $740 million more than it takes in, relying on state reserves and an injection of federal stimulus money to give increases to public colleges and universities and the Indiana Department of Correction.
