The state's money pie is small this year, and Indiana University President Michael McRobbie has made one of at least two stabs at slicing off a chunk.

McRobbie went before the Legislature's Ways and Means Committee this week to present his binannual budget request. He's asking for more than $207 million in capital project requests, and $58 million for repair and rehabilitation to all IU campuses. It's not a pie-in-the-sky request, nor is it bare bones, said IU spokesman Larry MacIntyre.
