Marriott brand hotel proposed for downtown Bloomington

A new, 155-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott will go up on the northwest corner of College Avenue and Ninth Street if developers receive the necessary approvals from the Bloomington Plan Commission and City Council.

Paul Pruitt, owner of KPM Hotel Group, said he hopes to break ground on the five-story, select-service hotel by summer. He said it would take 12 months to construct the hotel, which also will have 139 spaces in a two-level, underground parking garage.
