Indiana’s U.S. senators and seven of its nine congressmen don’t want Bloomington to stand in the way of the Interstate 69 extension.
A letter signed by the Indiana politicians — eight Republicans and one Democrat — and addressed to Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan termed the project “a vital component for securing long-term economic growth both for the state and the Bloomington area.”
