Allen County new-home permits on rise

FORT WAYNE – Home builders sought 43 permits in December, up from the 30 issued in December 2010, according to a report released Wednesday by the Allen County Building Department.

Last year, builders requested 680 permits, including 180 in Fort Wayne, to construct single-family residences – a 2.7 percent hike from 662 permits in 2010.
