Housing market picks up in 7 northeast Indiana counties

FORT WAYNE – The region’s housing market ended the year on a high note. And this year’s getting off to a sunny start.

In December, 516 homes were sold in the Fort Wayne area, up nearly 23 percent from 420 in December 2010, based on data the Upstate Alliance of Realtors released Monday. The group covers Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells and Whitley counties.
